How to book an international shipment:

  • Begin by submitting your shipment information through our simple-to-use Global Quote Form
  • Review your quote (the MIQ Logistics Global Service Center emails your quote to you; quote turnaround time depends on shipment complexity)
  • To initiate your shipment, simply email or fax your completed Customs Power of Attorney form and MIQ Logistics Credit Application form.
  • To pay by Credit Card, fill out the Credit Card Authorization form (you need not fill out a Credit Application if you use this payment option ).

How do I obtain a quote for an international freight forwarding shipment?

First, go the following link and complete the Global Quote Form. This form automatically submits to the MIQ Logistics Global Service Center whose staff will return a quote to you promptly.

What happens after I get my quote back?

Contact the MIQ Logistics Global Service Center by email or phone at 1.877.232.1845 to confirm that you accept the quote and its terms and conditions. If your company already has an established international account with MIQ Logistics, then you can move forward immediately.  If you do not, you simply need to complete a Customs Power of Attorney Form and a MIQ Logistics Credit Application to get an account started. 

How long does it take to receive credit approval for my account?

Credit approval takes 24–48 hours.

What if I would rather prepay for the shipment?

You have the option to pay for the shipment charges using a credit card or company check.

What is a Customs Power of Attorney Form?

It is a legal document outlined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection that gives us the power to submit documentation and information to U.S. Customs on your company's behalf.

What happens once I have submitted all the forms and my account has the credit and Power of Attorney forms on file?

It is time to get the shipment moving. A MIQ Logistics Export or Import Specialist will arrange for the booking and pick up your goods. 

What do I do next?

MIQ Logistics takes care of the rest. Our supply-chain professionals are trained and well-seasoned in international shipping procedures. We will make sure that your shipment arrives at its final destination as quickly as possible.

Exception:

*MIQ Logistics cannot handle household goods, personal effects or explosives shipments. In these cases, MIQ Logistics will provide suggestions of separate providers with capabilities to handle such shipments—no live transfer.
